campus life

Campus Life

Move beyond the books. Life beyond the classroom means joining your friends at campus events, volunteering to help others and ending your day with a swim or workout at the gym. Just don't sleep in the next morning. You'll miss class.

Dalai Lama

Enjoy lectures by some of the biggest names in the world. His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall, Anderson Cooper, and President George H.W. Bush, have all spoken recently on campus through the Distinguished Lecture Series.

From the most popular headliners in music to trendsetters fresh on the scene, we bring the best concerts in the area. And they're free! Headliner Concerts Committee and University Programs showcase hot acts like the Foo Fighters, Kid Cudi, Blake Shelton and Spoon.

Comedy shows, late-night programs, outdoor feature films, art openings and live theater add to the fun and cultural side of our campus.

Get Involved

Don't just attend campus events. Plan them. These committees are made of students just like you. Want to see an awesome event for free? Join up and design your own entertainment.

Try your hand at politics. Enter the strong and student government, split into the three traditional branches of executive, legislative and judicial service.

Build campus culture on a grassroots level with more than 380 registered student organizations, from cultural and religious to professional and special interests. Can't find a group for you? Start your own!

If it's all Greek to you, connect with the university's 34 fraternities and sororities, with 6,800 members and a rich history of campus and community involvement.

Residence halls are your home away from home. The Living and Learning Communities and the Residents Interhall Congress shape that experience and need your input.

Students give their time, their skills and even their sweat to help neighbors near and far. Work in our campus food pantry or help lead relief efforts to communities in need.
